he warned the houseguests that he didn't fuck with THEEEEEEEM before taking his leave from the ontdbb-bbcan house, and now elementalranger has been kind enough to bring his house meeting-holding charm to the sideshow. let's see what he had to say!

undoit: this always has to be the first question for all the sideshows, let's be real: elemental, what happened?!?

elemental: Lmfaooooo, I'm sitting here like a star that went supernova. Shined bright for a min but then burnt out and exploded lmao. In all honesty, I think 2 factors messed me up: 1. I overthought & overworried myself out of fucks that I needed to keep myself safe. 2. the Hussy vote.

All of week 3, me & bmf were worried that we were gonna be the renom if duch or hussy got taken off the block. We spent all this mental energy creating this whole other side alliance, like 6/7 people deep that had figured out that we were super close with duch & hussy and that was gonna put us up. In reality we were giving everyone waaaaaaay too much credit and we were safe the whole week. So it had me super annoyed and pressed when we finally realized that N/K/A flipped not b/c they had a whole other team of allies but b/c they were sketched out by hussy. So I was officially #TeamOverIt. I wanted them out asap (I guess because they weren't as devious and planning as I imagined them to be and I found their flip to be so ridic???? lmfaooo). By the end of week 3, I was mentally drained, tired of trying to overthink things and had all targets set on N/A.

Then the hussy vote happened. We finally had figured out kiki had flipped too on the sticky situations (omg btw I still hate this name as I want to pay Baylor dust) but since he flipped AGAIN to save hussy I thought he might AT THE VERY LEAST be playing the middle between duch/me/bmf/chirp & nilla/andal if not fully committed to taking them not. I was still a little weary tho so when he asked who should go up week 4 I said N/A OR he could put some nonfactors who are doing nothing for the game. But needless to say he disappointed me and went running back to momma & poppa & snitched leading to me & bmf up on the block all b/c we mentioned N/A's names.

If I wasn't so #TeamOverIt b/c of overworrying in week 3 and if didn't have hope against hope that flipping his vote might have meant for a nuKiki, I might've omitted N/A's names altogether and just said to put up nonfactors. Who knows?

Once I was on the block, I pretty much knew I was done for. I was allegedly a vet. (Does 2 survivor comps and getting hella played during your team's first vote make you a vet??) What I didn't know was how hard people were gunning for me to go! People were jumping over every bit of logic thrown their way to avoid having a smart reason to keep me. People were voting hella early not even giving me a chance to talk to them. People were voting how someone else told them to vote not even thinking about what would be best for their game. People were digging for dirt just looking for the smallest reason not to keep me. It was just a mess all around lol

undoit: during the big brother canada 2 pre-show side show, anick commented that she felt as though all the players with big personalities were eliminated pre-jury with the exception of sabrina. do you feel as if this statement applies to your season of ontdbbbbcanada as well? is there anyone you feel as though belongs in the jury instead of someone who's currently guaranteed a spot there? i want names, ele!

elemental: It totally applies to this season too!! We have a couple people left who I still would consider big personalities (bmf, elissa, chirp/duch [ugh at one of them leaving], [I might even say andalusx despite everything, but only when he's messaging. Not so much in posts]). On the whole tho, we have a LOT of people who are willing to play very very cautious boring games. Which would be great for them if this was real bb but for an online game with no real payoff it makes for a snoozefest. Like people are being sooooooo cautious that they don't comment their feelings/opinions in house meetings and in noms/veto/eviction posts which is super frustrating and suppppppppperr boring to play with.

LMFAO, well since you asked..... For me personally, I would've loved to see Hussy & Kerk in the jury (and ofc ME lmao). Hussy is hilarious and also semi-messy at all times so it would've been amazing to see all that talking and deal making he's done become undone around jury time. Kerk was a late bloomer for me but when he bloomed I was SUCH a fan. He had so much potential and I think he was holding back trying to lay low. Once he stopped? A+ tbh.

As for who's guaranteed but shouldn't be?? Liam_bb, bendo, omgbb & nilla. They're not making any moves, they're not switching it up, they're not trying to take the reins of the game. No risks are being taken & no excitement is being brought to the table. They're just content to take a backseat and for this type of game I don't think that makes a good jury member. I know from talking to them that nilla & bendo have sweet fun personalities but none of that is coming across anywhere.

undoit: i couldn't help but lol at how everyone you listed as guaranteed but shouldn't be seems to remain playing the same game as they did when you first commented with this - save for MAYBE liam, whom i want to touch on very briefly here if i may with another question:

liam's been laying low this entire game, it seems, yet when it got down to crunch time in the "drink!" hoh competition, he suddenly surged up and improved his score from -6 to 0. do you think this was just a coincidence, or was this his way of proving something to the people he was/is aligned with? like, "keep me because i kept elissa from earning those points when it was tight between her and anda"?

elemental: I definitely think that it was a way of proving himself to andal and also to keep elissa from winning. I think he felt safe with elissa winning but I also know he would probably have felt safer with andal winning as bmf/chirp were gonna be the obvious choices and duch as the renom (which all happened lol). There was a lot of underlying strategies going on in that HOH it was crazy. Kiki hiding in the wings until someone called him out and then almost instantly he started answering questions. I don't know if official deals were made or not but I can def see liam trying to help out andal

The thing with liam_bb is that he's been playing dumb from jump street and been constantly selling this character that ~doesn't know what's going on~ and that's bad at comps and I know that couldn't be farther from the truth. Not buying it in the slightest lol. The image slipped when he went apeshit at bmf's marsha task. Then it was ~I'm happy your allies are going home kekekeke~. Someone who doesn't know what's going on doesn't say things like that.

Ohhhh lmfao, btw liam I'm the one who started the whole liam is an alumni in disguise rumor or w/e. I just did not buy your schtick and the absence of some big names in the cast had me suspicious. I truly thought you were like u_aint or pronk in hiding until like week 4. Another example of me giving everyone involved way too much credit lmfao. Also oop @ all the blame getting put on bmf and my name not being mentioned.

undoit: indulge me: which of your fellow housemates this season reminds you the most of the following big brother canada houseguests:

kenny:
sabrina:
neda:
paul:
peter:
talla:

elemental: I'm gonna give a mini reason why they remind of that houseguest afterwards to sorta explain <3

kenny: kerkoviches - Kinda huge ego at times. Reeaalllly thought through their game but to no avail. A lot more fun than their game shows
sabrina: elissaslayter - Her game seemingly should've been DOA multiple times and yet she still trucks on.
neda: blowinmoneyfast - UNLIKE POPULAR MISCONCEPTION, NEDA WAS NOT A FLOATER. Ride or die for her real allies and extremely smart & persuasive if given the chance. Game was ruined by an unexpected flip but unlike Neda she doesn't have Canada's HOH to save her
paul: liam_bb - Both have an oddly huge ego & sense of importance despite having no real reason to think so. Thinks suuuuppper far ahead in the game despite it being way too early to do so.
peter: andalusx - Self-proclaimed mastermind without any of the tact, subtlety, charm or charisma of the greats. Somehow doesn't seem to get 50% of the game is people skills
talla: wii - Sometimes it's like ??? are we even playing in the same game lmfao. Is really sweet & cute tho and has an eccentric feel about her

undoit: let's talk about bmf and the neda comparison there though, if we may. given what's happened in the weeks since you left the house, with her winning a veto she needed to and being aligned to some degree with the previous and current hoh, do you think her odds have improved at all? is there anything she can do at this point beyond staying loyal that could increase her chances of going all the way, be it manipulating that loyalty somehow or pulling in people from the other side somehow, or is she basically cooked the next time someone from the opposing side wins hoh?

elemental: I definitely think her odds are improved but lbr, she's fighting a losing battle. It's her and duch against the whole house rn :-/. The only way I can see her making it to the end is by alternating HOHs a la Jemmet. I really don't think with this cast that there's anything she can do to save herself. From what I'm seeing, the issues going on when I left are still going on now. For example it's impossible to convince anyone to take a chance on you or even get them to actually consider your arguments. There are gremlins in the house, but they are the bad type of gremlins. Immovable. So sadly the next time the opposing side wins HOH, RIP.

undoit: let's talk about kiki, let's talk about kiki's game. given that you've had some time to think about this since week 4, have you figured out why kiki, as you said, "AND then not only do you snitch on your alliance. You have the nerve to do so, 1. without forming another alliance with the other side (GIRL WHAT???) 2. making it obvious by not talking in chat or with any of the other members, 3. admit it to every fucking body after the fact. Huh????" is there anything you've learned since that week that made you understand his approach a bit better, or is he still best described as "GIRL, WHAT??"

elemental: "GIRL, WHAT??" is still sitting at the forefront on my mind b/c I'm still not getting it lmao. I mean I guess his strong connection with N/A probably convinced him that they were safe enough but I just don't get turning on 4 basically blameless people b/c you don't like 1 person without having another strong alliance in the wings. I would've solidified something stable with people like elissa & wii when the switch happened so you're at least rolling deep when your exalliance members come after you. I mean it kinda worked out for him so lmao at me questioning it but I'm not just not getting the thought process.

ALSO another thing that had me confused was his HOH run. He had the perfect opportunity to play both sides and send up 2 nonfactors for nom and really make no enemies and have 2 groups of people strong with him. I guess he might've been afraid that ~my side~ might've struck first against N/A but imo, it would've been a "better them than me" situation. And it's crazy cause those nonfactors ended being the reason he was evicted too

undoit: who do you think believes their strategy is better than it actually is? is there a sense of overblown confidence that you've noticed with any of the remaining houseguests?

elemental: Liam_bb without a doubt. He seems to think he's doing this great neda emulation but I think is failing to view her strategy in the whole context of her season and how easily her plan almost backfired on her. Plus to be fair it's pretty shit impression in general. I see no resemblance between the two at all. He seemed to be convinced that he could single-handedly take out andalusx when the ~time is right~ even though the legion of andalusx exists and andalusx is much better at comps than he is.

And yes, there's definitely this huge ego thing going with a couple of houseguests. Like you have to sit there and continually stroke their [beyonce voice] EGO and make them feel important and pander to them in order for them to do something thats good for them. And then there's the flip side where there were some who would try to get you to do something while only talking about all the reasons it's good for their game.

undoit: your "i don't fuck with YOOOOOU" house meeting seems to be the closest thing we've had to an ika moment in the game so far - and it was amazing! had you survived that week, what was your game plan?

elemental: Omfggggggg soooooo first things first, thank you.

So the week of my eviction what I REALLY wanted to do was propose a truce to N/K/A b/c i could see us MAD-ing (mutual-assured-destruction -Ing) each other until each side was decimated while letting others slide by too easily. The only reason I didn't do it, was because I was 100% sure if I had suggested it to N/K/A they would have told the "nonfactors" and used that as a reason for me to go. So if I had stayed and with the fear of eviction off my back, I probably would still tried to propose the truce. I mean lbr they probably still wouldn't have gone for it but tbh the only worse that losing to your enemy is losing to a nobody so why not at least bring it up?

undoit: do you think anyone remaining has the potential to emerge as a post-jury threat and turn the house around?

elemental:
The power players have already identified themselves and i'm not seeing it for anyone else trying to step up in a way to change the way things are going. That makes me sad tbqh < / 3

undoit: coattails, let's talk about them. now that we've reached the mid-way point, give me the name of someone who you think has only gotten here because they've been latching onto a bigger player. do you think continuing with this "strategy" will work as the next few weeks pass? what about later to the game? is there anyone that you think will easily coast to the finals, and if so, (name names!!), will they stand a chance of winning the game?

elemental: nilla_cakester tbh and omgbb to a lesser extent w/ elissa. The thing about being a coattail latcher is that the only way it's gonna be super successful is if you're also playing the person whose coattails you're riding. You have to use the bigger player as a shield while you go around quietly and form relationships that'll keep you safe. When you're a coattail rider, the second you & your people aren't in power you're a definite to go on the block. It hurts the bigger player b/c their allies are up and also their votes get dwindled cause they're on the block and can't vote. But if you play the coattail rider strategy straight on, you're gonna be screwed b/c the bigger player is gonna have a better hold on the house and you're gonna go.

All of that is to say, that strategy is a short-term one unless you have another con in the works. So I think it'll work for maybe a couple more weeks but definitely not for the long run. I also do think some people could/will coast to the finals but I don't see it being any of the coattail riders. I'm def seeing bendottij/liam_bb crusie-controlling their way in the finals with nary a chance of winning

undoit: if the finale was right now and you could pick your ideal final two, who would you vote for? give me two players that are currently in the game, then for the second one, please feel free to give me any combination of players - evicted or otherwise.

elemental: I'm gonna be hella boring here and say the obvious. It's duch & bmf for both. I would love to see 2 allies get to the end together and see who would come out on top/the different arguments they would have. I might have included andal just b/c the symmetry in the season-long good vs evil storyline would've been glorious but it's apparent if andal gets to the end he's gonna win over either of them so nah to that. I will say I would've love to see chirp & kerk get farther just to see how their games would've turned out.

undoit: this week, duchello and chirp - who would you have voted to evict? why?

elemental: ugh this sophie's choice right now!! I loved watching chirp grow in the game and duch is my hyena sister so this decision is like impossible. < / 3 Hm, I would probably have voted to evict chirp tbh. Duch is an amazingly loyal ally and I had a stronger one-on-one connection with her. Just when me and chirp started to really connect I got booted out < / 3
